Research Interest

Byungwan Koh's research interest is in App/platform economy, diffusion of information technology, evolution of digital markets, Decision Making, Digital Economy and economics of user profiling. Recent projects explores:

  1. The impact of the intergenerational nature of services, via backward compatibility, on the adoption of multi-generational services
  2. The relative weight of each factor (digitization vs. unbundling vs. piracy) that derives the migration of demand from physical to digital music.
  3. The impact of voluntary profiling policy on consumer surplus and social welfare.
