Research Interests

I am a graduate student working with Dr. Charles Mather and Dr. Julio Mercader, as well as a member of the multidisciplinary Olduvai Gorge: Stone Tools, Diet, and Sociality project. For my master's thesis, I will be conducting an epistemological and ontological comparison of both Maasai and paleoanthropological experiences of Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania. It is hoped that my research will provide the foundation for mutually beneficial collaboration in the future. My research interests include science and technology studies, medical anthropology, political ecology, ethnobotany, the anthropology of food, paleoanthropology, and lithic residue analysis.
