Research Interests

My current research interrogates disability in children in the context of African shrine system using Bulsa as a case.  Outlining how disability is framed in the social structure of Bulsa and systematically question how this conceptualization impact the growth and development of disabled children. Mixed anthropological methods are adapted in this research.

Research interest areas include questioning root causes of exclusion of vulnerable groups in policy interventions. Especially individuals affected by physical, and mental disability, in broader poverty frames such as food security, and nutritional security and inequalities. I am highly interested in participatory interventional research approaches using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Research focus predominantly in Rural communities in Africa.
