Zahinoor Ismail

Dr. Ismail is a clinician scientist whose interest is the interface between psychiatric symptomatology and neurocognitive disorders. He uses various methodologies to investigate these links including prospective cognitive, imaging and biomarkers studies, rating scale development and validation, and systematic reviews and meta-analyses. He is the lead author of the neurobehavioural syndrome Mild Behavioural Impairment, which links later life onset neuropsychiatric illness and cognitive risk, and lead developer of the MBI checklist, a rating scale based on the MBI research diagnostic criteria.
