Jocelyn Lockyer PhD, Professor Emerita, Department of Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine

Jocelyn has had a lifelong career in medical education beginning with a position in the Department of Family Medicine, St Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario. At University of Calgary, she initially worked in both Post Graduate Medical Education and Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Professional Development. She was Associate Dean, Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Professional Development (2006-2012) and then Senior Associate Dean, Education (2012-2017). As an academic, she has published nearly 200 manuscripts in peer review journals and conducted research in the assessment of physician performance, multisource feedback and on the impact of the short course on learning. Her current research focuses on demonstrating the effectiveness of the R2C2 model of feedback which provides a structured approach enabling preceptors to build a relationship, explore reactions, determine content, and coach for change.  She has supervised Masters and PhD Students.
