Gavin McCormack

Dr. Gavin McCormack holds a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine (University of Calgary), and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Faculty of Environmental Design (University of Calgary). His research program is in the area of population and public health and predominantly focuses on the relationships between the physical and social environments and health (e.g., physical activity, diet, sedentary behaviour, and weight status). Dr. McCormack currently teaches in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Health and Society stream) and is involved in the supervision of Population and Public Health (PPH) Specialization trainees within the Department of Community Health Sciences graduate program. He is also Chair of PPH Specialization.
