Dr. Pietro Ravani is a Full Professor and Clinician Scientist in the Department of Medicine and Institute of Public Health at the University of Calgary. Dr. Ravani received his medical training at the University of Parma, Italy, and completed a Master’s of Science in Biostatistics at the University of Pavia, Italy, followed by a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at Memorial University in Newfoundland. Dr. Ravani worked as a practicing physician in Italy until 2008, when he moved to Calgary to start his academic career. His research interests include statistical methods in outcomes research and design of clinical trials and longitudinal studies in kidney disease.
