  • Assistant Professor

Profile

I am a clinical endocrinologist and population-health researcher. My primary research interest is in cardiometabolic disorders with a major focus in hypertension. My principal methodologies include observational studies, quasi-experimental studies, and systematic reviews. I am the recipient of the Hypertension Canada New Investigator Award, which has secured me 75% protected time for research. My current research agenda is to identify existing care gaps, and to examine ways to improve the care of patients with hypertension by addressing the multifactorial reasons for uncontrolled hypertension (e.g., suboptimal medication regimens, patient non-adherence, and unidentified secondary causes of hypertension).
