Profile

Dr. Eloise Carr, RN, PhD, is a Professor in the Faculty of Nursing. Originally from the UK she moved to Canada in 2011. After her nursing degree, she completed her graduate education at King’s College London in the UK.  Her research expertise on mixed methods research is integral to her research program focusing on patients’ experiences of pain, pain education, and the impact of organization policy on pain management. A recent strand of research is exploring how living with a dog can enhance the quality of life for people with chronic pain. She is Secretary to the Canadian Pain Society, and was recently appointed to Council for the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).
