Office of Teaching and Learning

The Haskayne School of Business Office of Teaching and Learning advances excellence in, and scholarship of, teaching and learning at the Haskayne School of Business by promoting an embedded culture of reflective and evidence-based practice to enhance an impactful student-centred learning experience.

The Haskayne School of Business has four Teaching and Learning Coordinators (TLCs), each working in one of Haskayne’s four concentration areas. Teaching and Learning Coordinators provide technical training and support for faculty and staff, facilitating learning solutions to enable change, build technical capacity and help faculty and students achieve course learning and program outcomes.

Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology and a minor in French as well as a Master of Arts in Sociology. Prior to joining Haskayne, she worked in student services, research coordination, and as a sessional instructor. Gillian’s portfolio within Teaching and Learning at Haskayne focuses on Teaching Technology & Experiential Learning. She has supported simulation implementation, peer evaluation technology implementation, course redevelopment, Scolarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research projects and conference presentations.

Her area of SoTL interest is currently in active learning spaces as well as projects that explore reflection, narrative, storytelling, experiential learning and interdisciplinary thinking.
