Candace Moody, CPA, CA is an instructor in Accounting at the Haskayne School of Business where she teaches undergraduate students introductory and intermediate financial accounting,  as well as auditing.  

Candace has a significant background in public accounting having spent 14 years working as an auditor. Her public accounting industry experience included auditing both private and public companies in the transportation and food industries as well as in the public sectors of utilities and hospitals.

Candace presented at the University of Calgary’s Conference on Postsecondary Learning and Teaching in 2018 on increasing student engagement with active learning techniques and is a trained facilitator of the Instructional Skills workshops that both Haskayne and the Taylor Institute host annually.

She was nominated for the University of Calgary Students’ Union Teaching Excellence Award in 2018.

Candace holds an Honours in Business Administration (HBA) from the Ivey School of Business and received her Chartered Professional Accountant’s (formerly CA) designation from CPA Ontario (formerly the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario) in 2005.
