Bio

Dr. Chang is a semi-retired finance professor who continues to teach an experiential learning course, Portfolio Theory and Management, In this simulation course, up to 20 groups of students would each  be given $1 million to construct, manage, and protect  an investment  fund based on real stock market data. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of the non-profit Wing Kei Senior Home Association, which operates 320 beds under Alberta Health Services. He is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Dr. Chang has formerly served as Associate Dean (International), Director of Centre for International Management, and Area Chair of Finance and Operations Management. He has taught at the business school of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Peking University, China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and National Chengchi University in Taipei.  He has won numerous teaching awards at the University of Illinois and the University of Calgary, including the UofC Students' Union Teaching Excellence Award. Dr. Chang's research interests include corporate finance and investments.
