Current research & Graduate Student Recruitment

My research work is supported by NSERC, MITACS and PIMS through various grants, such as NSERC individual discovery grant, NSERC Engage grant, Engage Plus grant, NSERC Collaborative Research and Development (CRD) grant,  Mitacs Globalink, Mitacs Accelerate, Mitacs Elevate etc. I also received generous support from my researech partners, mainly companies in the energy sector.  I am currently recruiting graduate students in both master and Ph.D levels. Prospective students should have a strong background in applied and computational mathematics and high-level computing skills. Possible research projects/topics include the numerical solution to time-dependent PDEs, computational methods for seismic inversion problems,  efficient and accurate numerical methods for seismic imaging problems and applications in the energy industry, inverse modelling and adjoint analysis.  Interested applicants are encouraged to contact me prior to submit your application.

Statement of Graduate Supervision

I am currently recruiting graduate students in both MSc an PhD levels. Successful student should be self-motivated, with strong backgroud in Applied and Computational Mathematics and programming skills in Matlab, Fortran or Python.
