ARKY 419 - Tipi, Buffalo, and Vision: People of the Plains - Fall 2012

From the Blackfoot in the North to the Apache in the south, the lifeways of Plains people were incredibly diverse, including the iconic buffalo hunting people of the western Plains as well as the horticultural people of the eastern Plains. Explores traditional Plains culture as recorded in anthropological ethnographies, early European written accounts, and First Nations oral traditions. Also known as: (Anthropology 419)
