Clinical outcomes research pertaining to head and neck cancer as well as translational and health services research projects pertaining to head and neck cancer.  The overall goal of my research program is to understand and predict clinical outcomes using molecular and imaging tools in order to develop personalized treatment approaches for head and neck cancer.

Dr. Dort established and maintains an ongoing prospective cohort of patients with head and neck cancer.  He also founded a head and neck tumour bank and collaborates in a biomarker evaluation program  for head and neck tumours. His expertise in health system design, medical informatics and data integration is extremely valuable for the research activities of the Ohlson Research Initiative.  He is also active in establishing networks of collaboration provincially, nationally and internationally.
