Profile

Dr. Leung's training includes Epidemiology and Health Research. Her research in nutritional epidemiology examines the role of diet and nutrients on maternal mental health (e.g. mood) and metabolic dysregulation (e.g. diabetes), as well as the impact on child neurocognitive development and behavioural disorders (e.g. ADHD). Her research has examined the role of prenatal micronutrient supplementation on maternal mood and child development, the importance of pregnancy and birth cohort studies. She’s been an investigator on studies ranging from large longitudinal cohorts to clinical trials, with an aim to explore innovative research methods, and knowledge translation strategies.
