Jocelyn Lockyer

Dr Lockyer is Senior Associate Dean Education and Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences. Her work currently includes leadership and oversight for all of the Faculty’s educational portfolios Undergraduate Health and Science Education, Graduate Studies, MD, PGME, and CME & PD along with Distributed Learning and Rural Initiatives. 

Dr. Lockyer’s research work focuses on the development, psychometric assessment and use of multi source feedback (360 – degree evaluation) for practicing physicians; feedback and uptake strategies for practicing physicians; the impact of the short course or educational intervention on physician/health care professional behaviors and practice; and physician learning during points of practice and life transitions. She has published over 150 articles in peer reviewed journals, many of them focused on feedback to physicians from multi disciplinary team members and learning outcomes from multi disciplinary courses.

She teaches the curriculum design and evaluation and qualitative methods courses.

She will co-supervise students with Mone Palacios, Irene Ma or Rachel Ellaway in 2016-17.
