Profile

Dr. Brindle is a pediatric surgeon and the director of The EQuIS (Efficiency Quality Innovation and Safety) Research platform at Alberta Children’s hospital. This chair-supported program tackles health system issues as they relate to pediatric surgery and develops innovative solutions through the international and national collaboration. As part of this work, she leads the international ERAS neonatal abdominal surgery team. She is the Secretary of the International ERAS Society. She is Director of Safe Surgery and Safe Systems at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health as well as Scientific co-Director of the Surgery Strategic Care Network in Alberta.  Her research has been presented internationally and has been funded locally and nationally including funding from CIHR. She sits on the steering committee of the Canadian Pediatric Surgery Network and the Canadian Association for Pediatric Surgery research program. The work of EQuIS has a strong focus on implementation sceince as well as quantitative and qualitative research.
