I am a health sociologist and have been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences since 2016. My research focuses on adolescent and young adult substance use, harm reduction, and drug policy reform. Since joining the University of Calgary, I have focused my research program on youth cannabis use and the public health policy implications of cannabis legalization in Canada. My current projects also include qualitative and knowledge translation research related to the parents’ advocacy on the opioid overdose crisis in Canada and youth policy engagement training as a mental health promotion intervention.

Please note that I am not able to accept additional graduate students at this time.
