Profile

I joined the Department of Community Health Sciences in 2016, following postdoctoral work at the School of Nursing, University of British Columbia and a doctorate in Behavioural Health Science and Addiction Studies at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. I am a health sociologist by training and my research focuses on adolescent and young adult substance use, harm reduction, and drug policy reform. In addition to research on youth cannabis use and the public health implications of cannabis legalization in Canada, my current projects also include qualitative research on the family context of substance use (cannabis and opioids) and youth policy engagement training as a mental health promotion intervention.
