RELS 273 - Introduction To The Bible - Summer 2001
Selected readings and topics from the Bible in English translation. The course introduces the Bible's role as a textual foundation in Western religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam). Topics include: biblical scheme of history; place of human existence in creation; role and function of religious belief and practice; future of human existence, the world, and the cosmos.
