CPSC 530 - Information Theory and Security - Fall 2020

Information theoretic concepts such as entropy and mutual information and their applications to defining and evaluating information security systems including encryption, authentication, secret sharing and secure message transmission.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • Computer Science 351; or 3 units from Computer Science 219, 233 or 235 and 3 units from Mathematics 271, 273, 315 and 3 units from Statistics 205, 213, 321.

Antirequisite(s)

  • Credit for Computer Science 530 and 630 will not be allowed.
