ENCI 608 - Sustainable Water Systems - Winter 2023

Science of the hydrological cycle and hydrological modelling, including a focus on cold regions. Best practices in water systems management, urban hydrology and water management, stochastic and statistical hydrology. Introduction to environmental hydraulics with a focus on the fate and transport of pollutants. Framed within a sustainability lens, includes aspects of design incorporating the realities of climate change. Time series flow under current and future climates, hydrological modeling, and changes in Calgary floodplain using deterministic and probabilistic approaches.
This course may not be repeated for credit.
