GEOG 251 - The Human Environment - Winter 2017

The study of people, their origins, culture, technology, economy and impact on the environment. The manner in which people attempt to impose order upon the surface of the earth. Concepts of relative location are introduced with particular regard to both the external orientation and internal organization of urban areas.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • This course is intended as a foundation for advanced courses in Geography. Student looking for a general interest Geography course are advised to enrol in Geography 205 or 213.
