GEOG 456 - Uneven Development - Winter 2020

Foundations of development geography and its concern with multiscalar, multidimensional processes of intervention and change. Focus on urban-rural and global-local change effects and human settlement. An interrogation of globalization, poverty, marginality, human settlement and the diversity of development actors, the state, the aid community, and the people directly affected by development.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • 3 units from Geography 251, 253, 352, 354, Urban Studies 253.

Antirequisite(s)

  • Credit for both Geography 456 and 425 will not be allowed.
