GLGY 537 - Advanced Field Methods - Spring 2017
Field study of geological problems using advanced methods. Field exercises will normally be conducted away from Calgary for about 10-12 days preceding the Fall Term or following the Winter Term.

Notes
- This course occurs in rugged field conditions and varying weather, for which participants must be prepared and equipped. It may occur outside Canada. Students will be required to cover food and accommodation costs, and a supplemental fee will be assessed to cover the costs of equipment and other resources. Students will require consent of the department to drop this course.

- Geology 333 or 311; Geology 381; Geology 435; Geology 445 or 341 and consent of the Department.

LAB 1 UMTWRFS 09:00 - 17:00 Rudi Meyer Notes: This course occurs in rugged field conditions and varying weather, for which participants must be prepared and appropriately equipped. Students will be required to pay registration fees via Group Studies in addition to their tuition to cover the cost of accommodations, transportation, required maps supplied by the department and a contingency fee. Students are expected to cover the costs of food and their own field equipment.
