Bio

I joined the Strategy and Global Management group at Haskayne School of Business in January 2021. Before Calgary, I was an assistant professor at HEC Montreal, a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Toronto, a consultant for World Bank, and a lecturer at East China Normal University in Shanghai after receiving my PhD from Peking University.

My research touches the overlapping areas of international business, economic geography, innovation, and strategy management, focusing on the topics of industrial clusters, innovation ecosystems and cities. Specifically, I am interested in how location shapes business strategies and practices. My work has appeared in Journal of International Business Studies, Research Policy, Journal of Economic Geography, Global Strategy Journal, and Regional Studies, among others.
