Bio

Nishant's research focuses on the interface of strategic management, sustainable development, and tourism management. Currently, Nishant is working on research that advances stakeholder theory, including theoretical and case based applications that increase our understanding of the spatial and temporal aspects of stakeholder interests. Other research projects he is engaged in include testing the role of values, belief, and motivators toward the development of sustainability resource domains within organizations, and also the sustainability performance of tourism industries. Nishant holds an MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia. In addition, Nishant brings over nine years of experience in consulting, marketing, entrepreneurship, and hospitality operations. Nishant is working under the supervision of Dr. Alain Verbeke, who holds the McCaig Research Chair in Management, and is the Area Chair for the Strategy and Global Management and the Human Resources and Organizational Dynamics departments at the Haskayne School of Business and Dr. J R Brent Ritchie who holds the distinguished Professorship in Tourism Management, and Chairs the World Tourism Education & Research Centre (WTERC).
