WMST 309 - Topics in Feminist Community Service Learning - Summer 2011

A rotating series of topics such as anti-racist feminism, women's sexual well-being and women and leadership. Classes will also cover the theory and goals of community service learning and provide the foundation for undertaking community service learning projects. Students are expected to participate in at least two hours per week volunteering for a service project in association with the Women's Resource Centre.
This course may be repeated for credit.

Notes

  • Credit for either Women's Studies 401.03[WMST401] or 401.04[WMST401] and 309 will not be allowed. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in WRC volunteer training when available. Not available to students who have already taken WMST 309 prior to Fall 2010.

Prerequisite(s)

  • Completion of a minimum of four full-course equivalents, which must include at least one half-course equivalent in Women's Studies, or consent of the Faculty.
