Brian Grant 1940-2007

Dr. Brian Grant, beloved husband of Linda Grant, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the age of 67 years. Besides his loving wife, he will be dearly missed by his children Dewa (David Shawn) Grant of California, and Nye (Claudia) Grant of Florida as well as three granddaughters Ava and Sophia Shawn and Olivia Grant. He is also survived by his sisters Rita, Zena and Anita of London, England. Dr. Grant was a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Calgary from 1968 until his passing. He will be greatly missed as a husband, father and grandfather, colleague and teacher. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Escalus Room of the McEwan Student Centre at the University of Calgary (2500 University Drive NW). A private Graveside Service will be held on Monday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Calgary Drop In Centre, 423-4th Avenue SE Calgary, Alberta T2G 0C8.
