Research Interests

I study wild ursine colobus (Colobus vellerosus) monkeys at Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary in central Ghana. I am currently studying population-level variation in the amount of handling infants receive from mothers and other group members. I am interested in determining how variation in infant handling and maternal condition impacts the timing of infants’ developmental milestones and lifetime fitness.

Research interests:

  • infant development
  • maternal investment strategies
  • infant handling
  • maternal stress
  • lifetime reproductive fitness
