Profile

Dr. Jones was born in Edmonton, AB, attended High School in Oliver, BC, has two sons and one daughter. In 1966 Jones completed a B.Ed. at UVIc and in 1968 an MEd at UBC and in 1978 an EdD at UBC. In 1977 he joined the Faculty of Education at the University of Calgary where he teaches history, teaching excellence and spirituality of education courses.

Research & Scholarly Activity

Dr.Jones’s research interests have been in the history of education in Canada, Prairie and especially Alberta History. He also writes in the field of spirituality and self-realization.

Dr. Jones offers his expertise to various agricultural organizations, to teacher organizations in Alberta, to the Historical Society of Alberta, and to organizations interested in spirituality, self-knowing and finding one’s highest conception of self.
