GLGY 209 - Introduction To Geology I - Fall 2007

Basic concepts regarding the major features of Earth; its rock and mineral composition, processes controlling erosion, deposition and surface structures; formation of mountains, ocean basins and continents; internal structure of the Earth and plate tectonics.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

Notes

  • Credit for both Geology 209 and 201 will not be allowed. A non-major course for Education, Humanities, Social Sciences and Science students. Not available as a course in the Fields of Geology or Applied and Environmental Geology. Students pursuing degrees in Geology and Geophysics must take Geology 201.
