GLGY 209 - Introduction To Geology I - Winter 2008

Basic concepts regarding the major features of Earth; its rock and mineral composition, processes controlling erosion, deposition and surface structures; formation of mountains, ocean basins and continents; internal structure of the Earth and plate tectonics. Note: Credit for both Geology 209 and 201 will not be allowed.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • A non-major course for Education, Humanities, Social Sciences and Science students. Not available as a course in the Fields of Geology or Applied and Environmental Geology. Students pursuing degrees in Geology and Geophysics must take Geology 201 and, Credit for both Geology 209 and 201 will not be allowed
