Field study of geometrically complex geological problems. Involves independent mapping and report writing. Field exercises will normally be conducted away from Calgary for about 10-12 days preceding the Fall Session or following the Winter Session.
This course may not be repeated for credit.
Notes
- Credit for both Geology 435 and either Geology 437 or 439 will not be allowed. Enrolment in Geology 435 is restricted to Geology and Applied and Environmental Geology majors. Registration after July 21 will require consent of the Department. This course occurs in rugged field conditions and varying weather, for which participants must be prepared and equipped. It may occur outside Canada. Students will be required to cover food and accommodation costs, and to pay a surcharge to cover the costs of equipment and other resources.
