My primary research areas are cognitive and social-cognitive development in young children. In particular, I am studying the cognitive processes underlying children's emerging theories of mind. Recently I have been examining the roles of executive functioning and planning in children's use and understanding of strategic deception. I also have extended my research to include examining this understanding in children with autism. A recent research interest of mine is focused the development of source monitoring in both typically developing children and children with autism.
