SPAN 599.05 - Short Story, Film and Society - Winter 2005

This class will be devoted to the study of current topics in Latin America as seen through short stories and cinema. Students will use narratology and film analysis tools to examine the content of the texts and to determine which strategies are used to produce what E. A. Poe calls the "desired effect."
This course may not be repeated for credit.
