About Me

I am a PhD student at the University of Calgary, Canada in the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures. My admission comes with funding effective 2023 Fall Academic year. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and two Master’s in Modern Literatures from the Université de Lomé. The first MA’s thesis focused on poetics and criticism in Du côté de chez Swann by Marcel Proust. The second focused on the writing of the degeneration in L’Herbe and La Route des Flandres by Claude Simon. After a few years in teaching, I intended to broaden my intellectual horizons in the field of ecocriticism. Regarding the environment protection, Canada is a major reference. The choice of University of Calgary is justified by the fact that it is one of the best universities in Canada, known for its research capabilities. I speak fluently Adja, Ewe, French and English. During my leisure time, I listen to music and watch football matches. My favourite movies are Nigerian movies, and the novel I like most is L’Etat Honteux by Sony Labou Tansi. I also love teaching and travelling.
