ENME 461 - Mechatronics for Measurement and Instrumentation - Winter 2024

Components of measurement systems. Dynamic modelling of mechatronic systems and their transient and frequency response. Conversion of sensor outputs to voltage. Signal conditioning, amplifiers, and filters. Statistical analysis of measurement uncertainty. Digitization, sampling, aliasing, noise, and quantization error. Operating principles of sensors and actuators and their selection for industrial measurement and control.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • Engineering 225 and 349, Digital Engineering 319, and Mathematics 375.

Antirequisite(s)

  • Credit for Mechanical Engineering 461 and Engineering Physics 491 will not be allowed.
